Savanna-forest boundary in Western Ghats, India

About Me

I am a graduate student at the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University. I received my BS in Physics from the Indian Insitute of Science (Bangalore) where I did my undergraduate thesis with Dr. Vishwesha Guttal.

I am a theoretical biogeographer. I use mathematical and empirical approaches to understand distribution patterns of organisms across space and time and the ecological and evolutionary processes that generate those patterns. At Yale, I am working on understanding how dispersal shape large-scale biogeographic patterns of savanna and forest biomes, using reaction-diffusion models and remote sensing data. You can find more about my research work on the Research tab.
